Sherry B. Herbert currently serves as Senior Vice President of Events at Graves Ventures L.L.C., where she leads the planning, strategy, and execution of all corporate conferences and custom events for BLACK ENTERPRISE. She manages a diverse portfolio that includes the Women of Power Summit, Black Men XCEL, and the BE SMART Hackathon—each known for its high impact and exceptional execution. Herbert also oversees high-profile single-day and invitation-only events for the company. She consistently drives growth by expanding event attendance, increasing registration revenue, and introducing innovative content such as the Elevator Pitch Competition.

Herbert actively reduces operational costs while maintaining the excellence of BLACK ENTERPRISE’s event programming, helping the brand thrive amid industry shifts. She builds strong partnerships with stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors, and is known for her hands-on leadership, mentoring a team of skilled professionals. Her solutions-focused mindset and energy ensure that every event reflects the brand’s commitment to quality and empowerment. Beyond her professional role, she gives back through community service at her church’s soup kitchen and various fundraising efforts, while also serving on the church Vestry.
